These type of trolleys are used in IRS Type coaches. It is having a conventional
design wherein laminated springs are used in primary suspension and helical springs are
used in secondary suspension. The carriage rests on Bolster springs carried in the
truck and suspended from the bogie frame by means of four swing links. From the
bogie frame, weight is transmitted to the auxiliary springs through the bogie bracket.
From there the weight is passed over to the bearing springs and finally the weight goes
to the axle box, brass journals and wheels.
The production of these type of trolleys are abolished and use in Mail/Express services is discontinued.
